System

What does the 3-stage system actually remove?

The system reduces sediment, rust, chlorine, odour and organic compounds from your mains water. Stage 1 captures particles, stage 2 (carbon) handles chlorine, taste and odour, and stage 3 polishes. That's the honest claim list — we don't quote removal percentages.

Is the system certified?

Yes — the system is WaterMark-certified, the Australian certification for products connected to the drinking water supply. The certificate number is currently [PLACEHOLDER:WATERMARK_CERT_NO] while certification documentation is finalised; we'll publish the number once issued.

Will it work with my rainwater tank or bore?

The 3-stage system is designed for mains (town) water. Rainwater and bore supplies often need pre-treatment or a different configuration — flag your water source in the quote form and we'll talk through options before quoting.

How big is the unit and where does it go?

It uses 12" cartridges in a 3-housing assembly, typically mounted where the mains supply enters the property (often near the water meter). Exact housing dimensions: [PLACEHOLDER:HOUSING_DIMS].

Will it affect my water pressure?

Any filtration introduces some pressure drop. The system is sized for whole-home flow ([PLACEHOLDER:FLOW_RATE]), and your plumber checks pressure at commissioning. Most households notice no practical difference.

Installation

Who installs the system?

A licensed Victorian plumber from our sub-contractor network. Pure Plus manages the booking and the job end-to-end — you don't deal with tradies directly. Mains-connected plumbing work in Victoria must be done by a licensed plumber.

How long does installation take?

Typically 2–3 hours for a standard single-storey home. Double-storey or tricky access can take longer — your quote will note it.

Do I need to be home?

Yes — the plumber needs access to the mains entry point and will want to walk you through the system at handover. Water is off for part of the job.

What's the lead time in my area?

Metro Melbourne: typically 1–2 weeks from quote approval. Geelong, Ballarat, Bendigo and the Mornington Peninsula: 2–3 weeks. Regional Victoria: 3–4 weeks on scheduled runs. The postcode checker on this page gives an instant answer.

Cost

How much does it cost installed?

Indicative installed pricing is [PLACEHOLDER:PRICE_INSTALLED] (guide range $2,499–$2,799 — placeholder, not a final quote). Your free quote is a single fixed price for your home, and it includes 2 free filter resupplies covering roughly your first 18–24 months of replacements.

What do replacement cartridges cost?

A full replacement cartridge set is [PLACEHOLDER:PRICE_CARTRIDGE_SET]. Your first two sets are included free with every install.

Are there payment plans?

[PLACEHOLDER:PAYMENT_PLANS] — ask when you get your quote and we'll confirm current options.

Service area

Which areas do you service?

All of metro Melbourne, Geelong, Ballarat, Bendigo, the Mornington Peninsula, and most of regional Victoria. Check your postcode at the top of any page, or browse the service-area pages.

Do you service interstate?

Not currently — Victoria only. If that changes, the postcode checker will say so.

Can you install in apartments or units?

Sometimes — it depends on whether there's accessible isolation of your individual supply. Apartments with shared mains are usually not suitable. Tell us your dwelling type in the quote form and we'll confirm.

Free water test

What does the free water test involve?

A quick visit to check the basics of your tap water — useful if you're concerned about chlorine smell, sediment or discolouration. It's free, takes a few minutes, and comes with no obligation.

How do I book?

Use the Book a free water test form — five fields. There's no live calendar; we call you within 1 business day to lock in a time.

Is the test really free?

Yes. It's how we show people what's actually in their water before they spend anything. No obligation to buy.

Ready for better water at every tap?

2 free filter resupplies included with every install — covers roughly your first 18–24 months of replacements.
