What happens on install day
Arrival & walkthrough
Your plumber confirms the install location on the mains line (usually near the water meter or where the supply enters the house), checks access and water pressure, and talks you through the plan.
Isolation & fit-off
The mains are isolated, the 3-stage housing is mounted and plumbed in with a bypass, and all connections are pressure-tested. Expect the water to be off for part of the job.
Flush, test & handover
Cartridges are flushed, flow is checked at multiple taps, and you get a walkthrough of the system — including how cartridge changes work (easy enough to DIY later if you'd like).
How long does it take?
A standard single-storey home on mains water typically takes 2–3 hours. Double-storey homes, tight access or non-standard plumbing can add time — your quote flags anything we know about in advance.
